Based on my broadcast yesterday, I saw the need by many Nigerians to have locally brewed tea that is healthy to drink.
So, today, I’m going to show you how you can make your own homemade ‘SKINNY TEA’ from our own plants here in Nigeria.
What you need:
1. 5 table spoons of Loose green tea or dried Nigerian Moringa leaves.
Green tea works because it contains catechins.
This boosts your metabolism and helps your body to burn fat in addition to many other health benefits.
2. 5 table spoons of Hibiscus tea or dried Nigerian Zobo leaves.
These have been proven to help control blood sugar.
3. 5 table spoons of dried Nigerian lemon grass leaves.
Lemon grass is soothing and balances out caffeine.
It helps with bloating and also stimulates ability to urinate.
Mix in a bowl, crush by squeezing and keep in a tight canister. It will keep fresh for up to six months.
Brew tea using 1 teaspoon of the mix and sieve.
Add honey, squeeze in a little lemon or orange.
This tea will fill you up. You can safely drink 3-4 cups daily.
