Pre Covid I shared about the damage caused to the eyes by prolonged exposure to devices.
The key take aways included symptoms and how to mitigate them right in the home using techniques and apps. More children now have their own personal devices in this covid era.
On the flip side, with the Covid era and eClassrooms that have come to stay, parents will need to be more intentional because they will be confronted with the behavioural challenges they were not aware of in the past due to their busy schedules.
In fact, I was able to help my clients who are parents with this audiobook of affirmations for kids. I received feedbacks about how their kids were becoming better grounded with noticeable improvement in memory and concentration when they listened to the audiobook before a learning session.
In addition, nannies will need to be trained because their roles and responsibilities will be different and more demanding. Nannies will need basic digital training if they have to assist with setting up devices when parents are working out of or in the home and it will no longer be cool to hire illiterate or poorly schooled nannies. Parents will also need to create a healthy work balance for the nannies.
Now we expect new learning devices from technology giants that are safer for children, until then the preventive principles outlined in the video below can be applied to children.
