A couple of days ago, some clients reached out to me following the development of sores on the back of their ears resulting from the use of face masks. This irritation is commonly seen among those with large ears, though anyone can develop such irritation.
I decided to share about how to manage it. The foundational action is to avoid hooking the face mask straps behind the ears bu bypassing the ears. This would help sores and irritation to heal. Also, this would prevent future occurences.
Some of the tips include:
- Sew on a button to each side of your facecap/baseball cap and hook the facemask straps there
- Sew on a button to each side of your bandana and hook the facemask straps there
- Sew on a button to each side of your headband/alice’s band and hook the facemask straps there.
- The video below describes the Best tip which does not employ the use of any headware/head wear.
I love you, I love your ear health.
