A friend called me recently following a post I shared on drinking infused water.
She said, “Doctor, I have started taking infused water and it’s really nice, but is it only this ‘your designer Agbo’ that I will be drinking?”
It got me laughing.
While I commended her efforts, I promised to share more tips on drinks.
I will be sharing on HOMEMADE ICED TEA
Teas are very rich in polyphenols which are powerful antioxidants.
In our clime, many are used to taking hot tea. Not many are familiar with iced tea. You should try it out.
Teas come in three broad categories:
1. Tea bags
2. Loose leaves
3. Tea powder
I love green tea, moringa tea and hibiscus(Nigerian zobo) tea.
Tea of your choice
Sweetener of your choice
Instructions for brewing:
1. If using a tea bag or tea powder follow instructions on the pack.
2. If using loose leaves like hibiscus, boil clean water and add a handful and filter.
You could add a slice of lemon or mint leaf if desired in 1 and 2.
3. Add sweetener of your choice.
4. Leave to cool.
5. Pour in empty clean mayonnaise bottles and refrigerate.
P. S There are two types of hibiscus leaves in the open market.
I love you, I love your health.
